THE FRIENDSHIP DAY AT CHARNEY MANOR on MAY 10TH 2011
It was greatly enjoyed and twenty two Witney Friends came and went during the afternoon and evening. This included three children and their Mum and Grand father. We enjoyed a talk from Gill Peasley, the new manager about her background and hopes and plans for the future of Charney Manor. This was followed by a delicious tea in the sunshine on the lawn. There was then time to explore the beautiful gardens and some of the Manor itself. Friends then went to the upper room in the Barn and started to share their 'party pieces and games'. We then enjoyed a very tasty 'bring and share supper'. The evening ended with some 'magic tricks' poetry and readings much enjoyed by all able to stay. We hope that we will be able to return next year when those unable to join us this year may be free to come. We thank Sue and Phyl very much for all their hard work organising this lovely event. Pictures fromt the event can be found on our Gallery page.
